The Atomic Priesthood

Introduction to the Atomic Priesthood

This page is under construction. Please bear with us as more information is collected
Symbol of the Atomic Priesthood, seen here as an amulet worn around the neck. This symbol represents the priests 'lifelong' commitment. Due to their exposure to radiation, many priests die prematurely.

In the event of serious nuclear fallout, a group of nuclear physicists took a vow to protect the people living in the danger zone. Now a thousand years have passed, but the danger of the radiation has not. Those first physicists passed their knowledge down through generations, leading to the development of the atomic priesthood.

Built upon the work of Thomas Sebeok and I'm sure others in this field that I am yet to come across.

Illustration of eye makeup or tattoo often seen on the Atomic Priests to indicate their special status. Illustration of traditional vestments of an Atomic Priest. Traditionally made from fabric woven with activated carbon and rubber. Shown here with ceremonial lead chasuble and full coverage rubber mitre and hood. Sketch of Atomic incence burner used in detection ceremonies. It is constructed of three chambers, a induction chamber where air enters and is measured by a giger counter, a hot coal and incence chamber, and a dye pack chamber which changes the colour of incense smoke dependant on reads from the giger counter.
